Day 10 - Recharged

I was having real trouble making myself work on the dreadmill a couple of nights ago - just couldn't dredge up the energy - and I've been dog tired by 9pm the past few nights, so I figured my body was telling me something. Like, maybe, "hey Meat, you've done nothing more strenuous than open a packet of chips for two years and now you're making me work out? Every night? And you've cut my sleeping hours? And you're not even feeding me? Um, how about a big screw you?"
So I took it easy yesterday - still popped my duro and didn't eat much, thought it was hard to figure the calorie count in peppercorn chicken at the local Chinese even if I did scrape off most of the sauce - but I didn't go on the dreadmill and I just barely scraped my 8,000 steps on my fitbit. I think it was a good thing. I woke up this morning feeling a lot more refreshed, and did 45 mins on the walker at a brisk clip with no problem. I even ran for a whole minute. Lol. That shattered me. But I'll keep throwing in a run - upping the length of time as much as I can - until, someday, I'll be running for an hour at 9km/h and barely breaking a sweat, just like in the good old days.
Was I really that fit once? Yes. Yes I was. I was so fit that I would go for a 45 min walk most mornings, spend up to 2 hours at the gym 3-4 times a week, and do an hour plus of kickboxing 2-3 times a week. Damn. And I still didn't have a sixpack. Where's the justice.
Oh yeah ... I realised my maths is still as sucky as it was when I was at school and I miscalculated my total loss in the first week. Thought it was 4.2kg, realised it was 4.7kg. So... good loss, shame about the counting ability?
